How to read CompareQuick guide
Compare strengths and trade-offs rather than looking for one automatic winner. Expected P/G, observed role and confidence usually provide the quickest starting point.
Production
Actual scoring so far. Use it together with Expected P/G rather than as a standalone projection.
Expected P/G
Estimated scoring rate based on current performance, role and underlying indicators.
Driver
Underlying offensive process: how strongly the player is driving creation.
Deployment
Quality of role and opportunity. A strong process can still be constrained by weaker deployment.
Actual Deployment
The exact observed line/pair and PP unit, with recent usage context from NHL shifts + play-by-play.
Model signals
Trajectory, sustainability and other interpretation layers that help explain why two similar stat lines may differ.
NHL Edge Context
Skating, territory and shot-location context. It is contextual evidence, not a direct input that automatically changes Expected P/G.
Confidence
How much evidence supports the current reading. Lower confidence means the comparison should be treated more cautiously.
